Hidden text is a portion of text which you want to hide from the students' eyes, giving them an opportunity to test their knowledge first and then open the hidden text and check the answer themselves. At first, the student sees a placeholder in the place of the hidden text. The default placeholder is "[...]". When the student clicks on the placeholder, it displays the hidden text. The second click makes the text invisible again and restores the placeholder. Hidden text doesn't take up any space on the page; it allows the developer to manipulate the page layout and provide extra material by clicking on the placeholder. • to create exercises • to create sets of questions with hidden answers for self testing • to hide a portion of text, including pictures and sound and more

How to make text hidden.
1. Highlight that portion of your text, which you want to make invisible. 2. Execute command Menu -> Text -> Hidden_Text -> Make_this_Text_Hidden. ( Context-menu -> --MAKE-- Hidden ) or use corresponding button on the toolbar
By default, the hidden text is dark blue , but you can apply any text decoration to it, which overwrites or complements the defaults . If you apply any text decoration to the invisible text, you should also highlight those decoration tags. Otherwise the decoration is applied to the placeholder. The only restriction is: don't create nested hidden objects. Though it works, it confuses users.
Two pictures below illustrate the technique.
a) using bar-menu
b) using context-menu or toolbar button
