3.14. Manipulating Objects

The Monitor

All LT objects are reflected in the Monitor window as soon as they are inserted into the page and in the order in which they are inserted. Objects of each type are counted separately, so any object can be identified by means of object type and an ordinal number among the objects of the same type. "Image" (all types), "Button", and "Text_Sound" objects have a linked file (or files). Name(s) of the file(s) is (are) shown inside brackets on the same line. A "Link" object has a name, which is also shown.

To expand or collapse tree view set pointer outside an active object and right click. Context menu is opened. Select "Expand Tree" or "Collapse Tree" command in the context menu.

Deleting

To delete an object set the cursor on the object and left click. The object's name and icon are highlighted. Then right click.  If the deleted object has text linked to it (Tip_Text, Hidden_Text, Image with Popup text, Button with sign on it), this text remains untouched and can be used again in this Item or saved and used later. If you delete a complex object like a Popup Window, which is loaded with other objects (pictures, media, hidden text and so on), the LTeditor deletes only the Popup Window's frame and leaves internal objects untouched, so you don't lose material you might need later. Please note that in removing an Image or Media file, in fact, you are removing only the reference to that file, not the file itself, as the file may be shared by another object or other Items. The file itself is still present in the Topic's folder. When you complete  the development of the topic, don't forget to remove all unused graphic and media files manually to prevent wasting disk space.

3.15. Embedded Frame

Embedded frame is "Browser inside browser", a feature like "picture in picture" on the TV screen. Embedded frame can be loaded with any web page like regular browser and functionality of the page inside embedded frame exactly the same as functionality a regular page in the regular browser. The main page and the page inside embedded frame are completely independent

All the attributes are self-explaned, except the "link" one. If you check the "link" box, tool inserts link to the page, which is loaded into the embedded frame. Clicking on the link user can open a new window and work with full size page.

Plain Embedded Frame is static, always visible window which cannot be hidden

Here is an example of an "Collapsable Embedded Frame" feature. (click on the "minus" sign to hide)

Here is an example of an "Expandable Embedded Frame" feature. (click on the "plus" sign to show)
